General regulations – waste disposal

Leukerbad applies the polluter-pays principle to waste management.
Household refuse may only be disposed of using the official orange sacks be disposed of.

Waste must be disposed of exclusively via the collection points. The dumping of
bags outside the collection points, i.e. in front of buildings or along roads,
is prohibited.

Public collection points are:
– Collection point old school building, Lichtenstrasse, 3954 Leukerbad
– Grunibodenstrasse collection point, Grunibodenstrasse 9, 3954 Leukerbad
– Grü collection point, Klibenstrasse, 3954 Leukerbad
– Collection point Hotel Alex, Ringstrasse, 3954 Leukerbad
– Collection point at junction Restaurant Altels, junction Zur Gasse – Kunibergstrasse, 3954 Leukerbad
– La Bohème collection point, Grunibodenstrasse, 3954 Leukerbad
– Sternen collection point, 3954 Leukerbad

If containers such as glass, PET or paper/cardboard are full, the waste may not be deposited in front of the containers but must be
must be taken away and disposed of after the next emptying.
Violations can be punished with a fine of up to CHF 500.00.

Individual fee bags and bulky goods stamps can be obtained from the following stores:

As our guest, we will provide you with a charge bag. If required, you can obtain additional
individual bags at the sales points at a price of CHF 1.40 (17 liters) and CHF 2.60 (35 liters).
Many of our vacation accommodations have internal containers. Please read the respective house information.
